Great doctor understanding and caring bed side manner Office operation is a total failure as you cannot get a phone call answered or left message returned in reasonable time Two weeks to report test results is unacceptable
After calling Dr. Vyas for my regular monthly refill of a prescription that I taken for 20 years and monitored regularly, I was told to have labs drawn so that they could process the refill. I did so and called Dr. Vyas’s office two days later as my prescription still hadn’t been called in to my pharmacy. I was told that I needed to schedule a 6 month follow up visit (even though it had only been 4 months since my last visit). Today my wife tried to make an appointment with Dr Poplin as a new patient as she had heard such good reports about him. My wife is a stroke victim and can't always express herself clearly. But the treatment she got from the person who answered the phone was totally unacceptable. Unfortunately an appointment was never made, but if that is the attitude of the staff, perhaps it was as well
I am very sorry to hear that Kevin Smith, P.A. is leaving the Franciscan Network. I have been his patient for about 15 years in combination with Dr. Burns who retired. He is very personable and does not rush any appointment. He would refer me to someone else for my neck, back, and knee issues when needed. The Franciscan Network should consider the doctor/patient relationship that is built over many years which is difficult to replace with someone new on the staff. I was new to the area and she was extremely understanding. She took the time to listen and she helped get all of my medications straight. I feel like she genuinely cares about her patients. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the area.
We have had Dr. D for many years. My husband has multiple types of heart conditions. Dr. D has always stayed right on top of things and listened to our opinions on things and how we felt about different tests and procedures. He is very caring and concerned, not only on a professional level but a personal level as well. We love Dr. D and recommend him to everyone we know. I waited about 90 minutes before I actually saw the doctor. Then when I did, she was so rushed and I felt like I was taking up too much time. I had several things I wanted to discuss with her but was told that I could not bring up so many issues in one appointment. So, just because I have several health concerns/questions, she said that I had to make multiple appointments. What?? She was rude unprofessional and going in and out of my room the first visit to answer a personal phone call the follow up visit she had no idea why I was back she did not open my chart to look at the notes she just was looking at me crazy the patient before me I could hear her talk to nice and pleasant to him but came in my room all of 2 to 5 minutes and was clueless then she left rudely and had her nurse come give me sample medication then sends my prescription to the pharmacy that costs me 1,200 had she opened my chart she... read more
Whether it’s been a virtual visit or an in office appointment. Dr. Poplin has always taken great care of me. His staff are equally impressive and I’ve been blessed to finally find a doctor who listens to every word and then I will take his advice or medications if prescribed. He’s not one of those physicians who writes prescriptions just because a patient wants a particular medication if it’s not conducive to a proper treatment or procedure.
