I was very surprised after being told my partner needed anesthesia and would need to go to a hospital for his surgery and that the MD wanted a $500 deposit I would get back as long as we presented for the surgery. Now I am being told this is a fee they charge that I don't get back. We got the surgery and my partner was diagnosed with cancer. As you can imagine, $500 is a lot of money for us to not have.
