I have been seeing Dr. De La Ossa on a recurring basis. He is one of the most intelligent and caring doctors I have ever worked with. By engaging with his patients in both the details and next steps, he creates a high level of trust. I recommend him completely.
Dismissive and accused me of things I did not do, then acted offended that I was upset. Then completely changed the surgery plan on the spot without explaining how the risks would change. Had to look it up later to find out.All this less than an hour before I’m supposed to be in the operating room. Extremely unprofessional and I’d even say childish. I will likely update later, but this is my experience as a young woman. I ended up with a referral to a general surgeon for a biopsy of a lymph node in my neck. The polyclinic was the first place that could get me in. I did not choose the practitioner I saw at the consultation, who was not De La Ossa. Two weeks later, my mom flew up for the surgery. He is a highly educated doctor that has excellent communication skills. He discusses everything that will happen before the procedure. If there are things that change during the procedure, he discusses those with you as well so you are part of the decision making process. He does his very best to make sure there is no pain during the general surgery procedure even though there is. Afterwards, he goes over the results.
