We walked into an empty room and the host asked if we had reservations, we said no. Then there was an awkward pause and a “ ….do we need one?” To which we got a huffed response of “yyeeah” we were told there was one table available but it, and I quote, “was not good” because it’s in the middle of the room? We are in Yuma from Bakersfield. Family emergency. Today is our 32nd anniversary and we wanted something upscale. After research we decided on IT'S. OMG! Service beyond excellent. Atmosphere beyond excellent. Drinks just incredible. But the topper was the food. This great in Yuma? You top LA and San Francisco! Excelsior. Highly recommend!
Coming from Philadelphia I honestly wasn't expecting much in a town the size.of Yuma and I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the foods. The bacon-wrapped dates were a perfect blend of sweet & savory. The mashed potatoes were delicious and the beef dishes were on par with the best I've had in New York and in Philadelphia. The exceptional service and the kind appreciation shown for the two Marines who were celebrating promotion & graduation made the party even more meaningful.
It was simply DELICIOUS I had the 12 oz Filet Mignon and it was perfect, sides were Cesar's salad, baked potato, and asparagus and we're also prepare to perfection, it was the largest baked potato I'd ever seen.
This place has potential. Its hit and miss with the food. Had a very nice ribs on veggies and mash potatoes. My wife had a pasta in a gorganzola cream sauce that was too much. Overpowering. I would suggest they work on the balance of flavors. More is not always better. Here is my main complaint. I am a bit off put by the smut on the walls. Their main decor is made of inappropriate pictures of women. Both bathrooms have mostly nude paintings. I am just not interested in seeing that all over the place.
