J S Gedge was established in 1897 and still to this day uses the same building which now houses our main Triumph dealership. We sell new Triumph motorcycles and a selection of Triumph Used Approved motorcycles. We can service, diagnose and carry out repairs to your new or used Triumphs, we also offer MOT facilities. We are insurance approved to carry out estimates and repairs. We sell Triumph branded clothing, gloves and merchandise.

I recently did my training for my full bike license through J S Gedge and then went on to buy a bike from them also. This is by far the best dealership that I have dealt with. I brought a Honda through the Triumph Branch (they also own Honda in Pevensey) and Gavin was excellent. He had Honda bring a bike over and I was able to test ride this on an L plate during one of my bike lessons as I was serious about buying it. This was a massive bonus for me. TRAINING LESSONS WITH PHIL I have been riding bikes off/on since 1996. My husband started taking lesson as we want to travel round Europe. Yesterday after returning from work where I deal with the general public my husband was extremely disheartened about his lesson and whether he should be riding. Anecdotally, there seems to be a pattern of unhappiness here. Hopeful students leaving downcast and demoralised by negativity. I’m joining them. Full review to follow . I would try elsewhere if you’re considering lessons. An earlier review summarised very well the harsh nature of the instruction. The DVSA complaints guidance doesn’t have an option relating to consistently negative feedback. The last straw today was being told by the instructor that he had “lost the will to live”. Despite passing my cbt, the instructors really need to grasp what this experience is like for someone who's never ridden before. The expectations to get everything perfect without having the chance to make mistakes to learn from has left me feeling really sad about my experience. They were rude, demeaning, and harsh to the entire group. You're just expected to get it right which is not possible for first timers.
