MAJOR REGRET. That sums up my feelings about hiring JRK. An improperly installed gas hookup could have caused our whole house and family to go up in a fireball if not for a chimney inspector’s gas detector going off furiously. Additional fun finds over the years: Our shower nook/niche was tiled to the exterior wall of our house - yes, directly onto the wood exterior wall without any backer board. Stay away from this so called General Contractor. As the other review stated, Now operating under the name Ace Construction DMV registered under Stacey E Guedes. They created ACE construction around the same time Montgomery county stripped his license to build custom homes. no experience and unethical. He provides a low ball contract estimates and then tries to rip people off with change orders. We did an extensive renovation with JRK and had many problems. Here are some of the issues we encountered: - We had to spend an enormous amount of time on project management. We sent Fernando Jr. very thorough documentation of what we wanted including all the finishes, yet he would call us in the middle of our work day with urgent questions like what color we want our bedroom painted. - Fernando Jr. took so long to order our windows that eventually I went to Lowe's myself to do it. - After the "final cleaning", all of the up... read more
We hired this company to do our entry way and redo our flower bed. The entry way work was done on time and quality of of work was ok but did not look like a professional work. But the flower bed was a disaster either these guys did not know how to make a flower bed or they were simply cutting corners. The pictures should explain the whole thing.
