I've been coming to JPS for years and today we got kicked out because the nurse who checked us in, kept talking and playing with our service dog. The second she realized he was playful, she kept him playing and barking for over 5 minutes. She was too busy playing with our service dog that she didn't get my wife's vitals for awhile. I had to come to this place twice today and unfortunately I was served by the same person, a white woman who was at checkout number 8. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see her name well to file a report, but the first time I was here she told me that my medicine was packed and that they couldn’t give it to me and that I should come back later. I was here for an entire hour and received no help. Very disrespectful. Just because this is a low income place does not mean you treat people less than. The staff needs to check their biases . The Asian woman at the women’s clinic (#5 ) is very racist . She ignores black patients to help non black people first. When I came in to say hello ( I waited patiently in line ) she ignored me and talked over me to argue with another patient . The physicians and technicians at this clinic are great but they never seem to communicate at all with me over my medication refill I have to call in monthly. I’ve tried all different forms for communication and types of ways to request a refill and every month it takes over one week to get a physician to actually sign off on my script for the refill.
