Massive thank you to Jason and the technician that rebuilt my transmission. I got stuffed around for weeks with a local transmission place and lexus who wanted 1400 bucks to diagnose my car. Both places said there are were no fault codes on the scanner and the trans place told me a number of times its my turbo. My mechanic did a scan and sure enough a fault code came up. I've read a lot of reviews about Pringle's saying they're rude but I did not find that the case at all. My regular mechanic said they do a great job and after dealing with them I 100% agree. Maybe a bit blunt over the phone, but please do not mistake that for rudeness or poor customer service. If i asked a question, I got an answer. I had my transmission on a 2013 Nissan X-Trail completely repaired (and in some parts replaced) for 2/3 the cost is was being quoted elsewhere. Questionable service. Called to get a quote on transmission issues. They did not ask about symptoms, but immediately quoted $5500 to rebuild it (which is a 3rd of a car price). Asked if there is any cheaper option, but they reiterated that it needs a rebuild... I know for a fact that replacing the transmission will be a cheaper option. [Update 2025-07-11] My local mechanic worked on the transmission (about $700 for solenoid replacement, fluid change and labour) and it's been over 7,000kms without issues!
