Undiscovered Gem Nestled on B Street between Capellini's and O'Neil's pub (same block as Jeffrey's Hamburgers) Joy Sushi is the latest resident in a restaurant space that's had a lot of turnover. They have a very good sushi bar, that specializes in exotic rolls but has rock solid nigiri offers. Very fresh fish with generous slices, they're not buying from the same seafood wholsaler as the other restaurants in town - their fish is of better quality. Joy Sushi Joy Sushi is basically a duplicate of Sushi House in Alameda. It has the same selection and everything. The place is fairly large for an Asian restaurant, but the service is a little slow. The lion king is by far my favorite at Sushi House, but it came out lukewarm at Joy Sushi. The sushi here is decent but not as good as the original. If you live around here or happen to be here, then the sushi is decent enough, but try the original.
I love Joy Sushi Joy Sushi is the best sushi place in town - by a mile. Whenever my family decides to go out to get sushi, we always choose Joy's. Their sushi is attractive and elegant looking, very tasty, and the portions are unbeatable. And we always end up trying new rolls because there's so much to choose from. The menu is easy to read and very user friendly for the non-sushi lovers. Best sushi I've ever had!
good stuff! we heard about joys through a friend about their sushi and hand rolls. we were not disappointed! their specialty sushi rolls were very good and fresh and the rolls were HUGE. i also ordered a bento box, but the terriyaki sauce wasn't very good- too thick and starchy, and the taste was off. i should have stuck to the sushi. good stuff. PROS: amazing sushi rolls! CONS: bad terriyaki sauce
