I was really looking forward to seeing this doctor, but unfortunately had a terrible first impression. I live about 45 minutes from his clinic and when I arrived Was not told he was running late. I waited about 20 minutes past my appointment time before asking how much longer and they said another 40min. So in total an hour behind. I had another appointment following this one that I wasn’t willing to be late for so I drove 45 minutes in both directions (90 total) to not see a doctor. Dr. Joshua Makhoul is hands down the best MFM I’ve ever worked with. He sets the bar incredibly high for all MFM's and any physician, with his expectational bedside manner and skilled care especially when complications arise during delivery. Having had a stillborn in a previous pregnancy I was anxious and had a lot of questions during my visits. Dr. Makhoul is an excellent doctor and I highly recommend him for high risk pregnancy! I was able to have a successful VBAC even though the odds of having one were stacked against me! This was my 4th baby but first time delivering in AZ after moving from NJ and it was ultimately the best delivery experience I had!
We had Dr. Josh Makhoul for our 2nd pregnancy! The practice "Scottsdale perinatal associates/Amomi" feels like a spa experience for your prenatal care- everyone that cares for you from the front desk, to the ultrasound techs, the medical techs, the NP (Bethany) etc are so kind and thorough, and you seriously feel like you are receiving VIP treatment!
