Prior to surgery, Dr. Smith explained to me how he was going to do a nerve block for my Achilles Surgery. When I woke from surgery the nerve block was not completed in the location I was told. There is no explanation post-surgery of the location change. Now three years later, I experience nerve issues in my knee and below. If I were to have the same surgery again, I would forego the nerve block as the short-term pain is better than the long-term effects.
