My husband visited Dr. Reid working at the instacare today. My husband has suffered chronic ear infections for decades and could feel one coming on. Dr. Reid was dismissive and insistent that my husband does not have an ear infection. Apparently he is able to see there is no infection, despite commenting on copious earwax. Copious earwax would greatly obscure his ability to assess whether the ear is infected or not. He sent a suffering man who knows his own body home with Flonase. Dr. Reid was friendly and most importantly he listened to me. Though my lungs didn't sound like I had pneumonia I could recognize that the way I was feeling was similar to when I'd had it before. When I told him this he immediately said he'd order a chest x-ray and it turned out I did have a rare type of pneumonia that the stethoscope wouldn't pick up on. I've had so many doctors blow off concerns I've had or tell me just to wait and see what happens and I hate to think what could have happened if he hadn't taken me seriousl... read more
