I have had diverticulitis for sometime which was detected on colonoscopies Normally when I had a flare up I could use an antibiotic to fix the infection. Easter Sunday weekend was very different. I experienced tremendous pain in the lower abdomen with no relief. I called 911 to transport me to Rutherford hospital.
