Today, I was scheduled for an Endoscopy and was on my way for my SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT with my son who was my designated driver to bring me back, when I get a call from the Surgical Center that Dr. Joseph Cody was finishing up on another procedure and since I was not physically there, he was not going to wait for me. I told the nurse I was ten minutes away and I was going to arrive earlier than my scheduled appt but it did not matter to him. They CANCELLED my procedure anyway because he wanted to leave. I'm in the same medical group that this Dr. practice. I requested to be transfer from one GI to another, same network. Dr. Cody refused to see me as a patient. I wonder why? So many things happening now days.
By good fortune I got Dr. Joseph Cody when my gastro enterologist was out on sick leave. Relaxed manner and well liked by his staff, nurses and anesthesiologist. Clearly explained procedure, after my colonoscopy he explained findings and gave me a follow-up appointment. Before I left I had copy of findings with color images. At my follow-up appointment he answered all of my questions, patiently explained the images and was the first doctor prescribe medications for my reoccurring issue. Can't recommend him more highly.
Dr. Cody is wonderful, professional, thorough, respectful and doesn't give up until he gets an answer to the problem.
