I was in the hospital holding area, already with an IV, dressed in their gown, shaved and taped where they wanted in order to have a scheduled heart stent. He arrived shortly before my procedure whereupon he informed my husband and myself that he had patients waiting on him in the office and would not be able to do the heart stent for me. Evidently, those patients had waited up to 3 months for an appointment so they were more important than my scheduled (with his office) stent.

My father had a heart attack at age 87. Dr. Petite treated him with care and respect for 5 years. Within the last couple of years his office staff has ignored messages and delayed answering questions of his care. After a hospital stay that Dr. Petit was called on to consult on, I was unable to get answers to questions and there was no follow-up care . After continuing care with his primary care physician we have made the very difficult decision to seek care with another cardiologist. We hate to make this decision based on a ... read more

I trust Dr Petit to care for my hubby's heart disease, manage his bypass grafts, and keep his heart healthy. Dr Petit is open to discuss his health with us and guides us in needed treatment plans. His NP, Mary Beth is also excellent. We have worked with Dr Petit's office for 2 years now and are very pleased with the staff who supports Dr Petit and Mary Beth. We are happy to see the East Tenn Cardiology group open a newly expanded office suite here in Lenoir City.

Dr Petit and Mary Beth are great but his office staff is uncaring and could care less if you are having a problem (chest pain) I tried to get in to see them to know avail,so this left me with no other choice but to find a another cardiologist. Amanda and Brittany are the two that I spoke with, they don't care.

Dr. Petit was fine, he assessed the issue & suggested a solution. His people skills are fair. My disappointment was more with the staff. I had to call back 4-5 days after my appointment to ask why my prescription was not ready & they had not even called it in yet. They were so slow to process the claim, I received bills for charges I did not owe. Then I got a letter threatening to send my bill to collections when I had never got a bill for those charge. I am very disappointed w/ Covenant
