Don't count on him accepting responsibility for mistakes I blew a head gasket and had a mechanic look at it before giving it to Gary. He said that the overheat was significant and it is better to get rid of the engine. Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes! I would recommend Gary's to my grandmother and feel good about it. I had also taken my '96 Neon to another dealership here in town -- which shall remain nameless. Not only did they misdiagnose the problem but they wanted to charge me over $1000 to repair it. Gary found it, fixed it and charged me less than 1/4 of that amount. Looking for an honest mechanic? I have taken my vehicles to Gary's a few times, and have had fabulous experiences each time. I found them after I was given a ridiculously high quote for brakes from Wilson Motors. I asked around and a couple people mentioned Gary's. They did my brakes and it ended up being 1/4 of the cost! Just yesterday I took my car in for a tune up and oil change. When I went to pick it up I only had to pay them for the oil change. They went through my car and said that I didn't need a tune up yet.
