Terrible human, even worse doctor
I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this doctor. Not even a fish. In fact, next time we need to go to ER, I will call to make sure he isn't working to avoid wasting anyone's time, or life. He is arrogant. Condescending, dismissive and rude. The fact that he still practices with all these reviews saying the same thing, and methodist not doing a thing about it, is concerning. If you’re in the mood to be chastised for having an emergency, he’s your guy
I went into the emergency room for significant bleeding and pain which I believed was due to my Copper IUD. After blood and urine tests, Dr. Joseph McMahan said everything came back normal and there was nothing to worry about. When I expressed my concerns and inquired about possible copper toxicity he shook his head, scoffed and hinted that I was being dramatic. I went in to the emergency because for a few days I was having intense scratching which turned into scabs and sores. McMahon was the doctor I saw. Before I could even finish explaining my syemtoms he tells me I have bed bugs. Rude. Cuts me off and then prescribes an over the counter head lice treatment. If you read anything about scabies. You need an ointment that stays on the skin for at least 10 hours. Head lice treatment isn't going to cut it.
