I trusted Joseph Pittman as my eye doctor for several years. During my appointments he always seemed very pleasant and agreeable. When I saw that there was a job opening at his office, I thought it would be a great learning experience to work alongside such a caring provider. Unfortunately, I could not have been more mistaken. BEWARE!! After recently moving to GA, my daughter needed her eyes checked. After giving my insurance information to Dr Pittman’s office, I was told we were not yet eligible for a new exam and the cost would be $64. After the exam and a free pair of contacts, I was told my cost was $158! When explaining this was NOT what I had agreed to, the ofc mngr informed me I had no choice. I would pay it all or get no Rx. Dr Pittman then told my 17 yr old that she would remove and discard or go to jail!!

We brought our two handicapped daughters to Dr. Pittman’s office for eye exams which cost approximately 70.00 dollars each, after their eye exams we were given their eye prescriptions, and we noticed that the prescriptions did not have the pupillary distance (PD) noted on it, so we later went back to his office to get the pupillary distance, and we were told in order to obtain the pupillary distance we would have to pay an additional 138.00 dollars. We will not return to Dr. Pittman!!!!

I most definitely would recommend Dr. Pittman because he is very kind and patient. You don't always receive that type of customer service any more. He is very thorough with his patients. I was able to get an appointment the same day I called. Was my first visit; however, he made me feel like I had been going to him for years. He made me feel like he knew me.
