I would highly recommend seeing a different GI specialist. Sotelo seems to lack initiative and is very unresponsive with patients. After expressing my symptoms of chronic fatigue, lots of blood, among other things that were taking their toll on my work and social life, and after voicing my concerns that I may have Crohn’s disease based on family history, he didn’t seem to buy it and told me that usually Crohns patients are short (I.e. have stunted growth) and are in a lot more physical pain than I was. He waits over 24 hours when paged to see his patients. Spent only 2 minutes with me. Told me that I was going to have surgery at a specific time. Canceled without telling me. Rescheduled without ever seeing me. Canceled again. Told only maybe could have the surgery the following day. Awful and unprofessional bedside manner. Liar. No faith. DO NOT ever see him. Hie license should be ripped.
