Drive an hour to see Dr Young. Wait 90 minutes past appointment time. She asked for more details about my referral. Then tells me I don't qualify for public surgery but I can pay her $30000 to do it. These details could of be done over the phone. She was very condescending and not at all friendly.
Dr Tessa young is not very professional and her reception is just as bad. Cancelled an appointment on me because they never provided me paperwork but blamed me. Berated me for this however they found it but wouldn't offer and apology or reschedule
Had the gastric sleeve done here… have lost 4 yes FOUR kilos…in 3 YEARS.. waste of time. When they say to loose 1 kg before weighin and put you on Optifast I gained weight. So my brother said to go back on my usual cooking… lentils & vegies from my garden and I lost 12 kgs!!! (Twelve) so… post op 4 kilos, and now have ALL THE PROBLEMS associated with post GS op. Dr Tessa young needs to go back to medical school or at least learn some social manners. She was rude and condescending. Never asked about my personal history with weight loss, why I wanted the surgery or questions about my medical history. She never even introduced herself or explained the process of the appointment. Thank god my mum came with me as I was close to tears. I waited over two years for this appointment and she did nothing but talk at me and make assumptions. Dr Tessa Young is rude and condescending. I actually know multiple people who decided against surgery because of their experience with her. On top of that, the practice manager had an attitude when I made an enquiry about a missed call and when I called her out for her tone, hung up on me. Such a professional bunch.
