Not a great experience unfortunately. Had been recommended from British expats of NYC group. As soon as I got there the miserable bartender told me off for booking the wrong resy (booked 1 week in advance through their website). Staff seemed miserable. Stuck us outside without all the other fans. Then when we tried to pay apparently theres a massive 55pp minimum, not mentioned at any point before this. Loved, felt like a travel back in time, could really imagine this place as it was before surrounded by concrete and skyscrapers. Service was excellent. I had the watermelon salad special and it was to die for! Will be great for world cup watching too. Highly recommend, will go into the rotation
Not your average pub on the UES, it has very good food. Manager sat us promptly and our server was friendly, efficient. Overall , consistently enjoyable.
Came in yesterday with some friends and sat in the outside patio anrea and had a wonderful time. The patio is a nice little escape hidden away. Our waitress Zoe was amazing and took such good care of us and made us feel right at home. Also she gave us a great recommendation for the bannoffe pie which was delicious. The food was great and the elderflower spritzer was perfect for the weather. Definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a little hideaway on UES
