Best surgeon ever! Dr Spanyer is extremely professional, extremely knowledgeable and is an outstanding human being. Very very honest and gives you options and doesn’t push surgery on you. He explains everything thoroughly and only will do surgery If you absolutely need it. Between my wife and I, we have had four surgeries performed by Dr Spanyer. Dr Spanyer did my TKR years ago and was perfect then. I have known him both professionally and as a patient he is both skilled and awesome individual. I would recommend him to anyone. He’s replacing my hip next month.
Dr. Spanyer is one of the most positive persons I’ve ever met. You won’t find a more personable surgeon anywhere. He explains what he is doing or is about to do, and follows through. My surgery was intended to be a revision of a knee replacement from 2” years past, but he assured me that if he found things amiss, he’d do what was necessary. That turned out to be the case, and a 1 hour procedure became a 3 hour procedure to remove the old parts and insert brand new ones.
