A Total Ankle Replacement..WHAT?? I’m a 59 year old that has been tough on his body, DR Backus was AWESOME he managed my expectations of what I could expect the post surgery experience would be like. My total ankle replacement is life changing. I couldn’t put on or take of shoes and socks without extreme pain, never mind fun things. I’m back hiking, snowboarding and have taken up surfing. Dr Backus sat on a stool at my eye level and spent a good amount of time examining my affected ankle and eliciting history and symptoms from me. And then be fixed me with an injection performed under x-ray with immediate and lasting comfort beyond my wildest imagination.
Very informed and good bedside manner. I finally feel I have direction for healing.

Dr. Backus & his staff were great! I appreciate the care they gave me, but most of all, the relief of pain in my foot!
