I am currently in my 3rd week of recovery after have two hernias repaired by Dr Yunis, along with the wonderful PA-C, Mandy Schaan. Dr Yunis is literally as good as it gets. Dr Yunis performed successfully this week my second hernia surgery in two years. The first surgery last year was an inguinal hernia on the left side. One year later a new hernia developed on the right side which was repaired by Dr Yunis using again the advanced Shouldice technique. This was one of the best surgery experiences I ever had in my life. I felt only moderate pain around the incision site which I treated with acetaminophen and Ibuprofen. Dr. Yunis and his staff took excellent care of me, as someone that has somewhat of a mistrust towards the medical industry, they made me feel comfortable and safe in their care. All the staff communicated clearly, were very prompt and helpful throughout the process. I am incredibly thankful to Dr. Yunis for performing a double inguinal hernia surgery. The entire process was almost completely pain-free. Everyone in this region knows Dr. Yunis is the best of the best. I refer my own patients to him for that reason. Recently, my mom had a consult with him and he immediately put her at ease with his caring manner and expert opinions on her case. After years of suffering from a large inguinal hernia, I chose Dr. Yunis for the Shouldice repair. He and his team and the staff at the Sarasota Physicians Surgical Center were professional, caring, and attentive. The surgery was successful, with no complications or infection.
