I had my second inguinal hernia repaired with Dr Yunis utilizing the Shouldice method. The short term pain was significantly less. Day 1,2,3 felt like day 6,7,8 from my first surgery. Obviously the important thing is that it holds up long term, which time will tell. I found Dr Yunis direct & to the point but respectful and polite. After much searching, I found Dr. J. Yunis and the Center for Hernia Repair. Locally after a CT Scan, I has 2 incorrect diagnosis of my inguinal hernia. I then found a local doctor who made the correct diagnosis, but did appear able to repair my hernia without mesh. 2 other doctors gave me the same story. I drove 660 miles to have my hernia repaired correctly and competently by Dr. Yunis and his staff. It was well worth every mile.
