I had my hair cut, shaped, and styled by Shada and I am very pleased with the entire experience. I went in feeling a bit apprehensive, but she put me at ease right away. She understood my curls, knew exactly how to shape them, and the final result looked amazing. The products she recommended were perfect for my hair type and made a noticeable difference. I felt confident walking out of the salon and would definitely recommend Shada to anyone looking for a skilled senior stylist who truly understands curly hair.

I had the best experience with Jonathan at the Curly Hair Institute. He’s such a kind, gentle soul and incredibly talented at what he does. I genuinely enjoyed my haircut with him, he was so knowledgeable, confident, and truly understood curly hair.
I was booked with Hewitt (spelling?) who cut my hair recently. She did a good job overall but I noticed that while she was cutting my hair, she had sniffled and wiped her nose on the back of her hand and kept cutting my hair. I don't like to offend people, so I tried to stay calm and tell myself it's okay instead of speaking up. By the second time she did that, I tried to be polite about it and ask if she needed a tissue. I’m bald and have never needed a haircut in Toronto, so my review isn’t about the service itself. I came here to buy something for my wife. Both times I visited, I was in my work clothes (I’m a carpenter). I understand I might not look like the typical customer, but I don’t think that justifies being spoken to in a cold, dismissive, or passive-aggressive way.
