My first impression, Dr. Nieves is very caring physician. My dad returned to the hospital a day after having a procedure with Dr. Nieves. He stayed in the hospital for a week waiting for authorization for a second surgery. I called his office everyday leaving messages trying to get answers on what was going on. Why was a second surgery needed? Nothing... I pleaded with hospital nurses to have him call to explain what was going on. Still nothing.... It’s incredibly frustrating that I’ve had to call five times today—starting as early as noon—and each time, the answering service asked a series of questions and assured me someone would return my call within 30 minutes. They also advised me to call back if I didn’t hear anything. It’s now 10pm, and I still haven’t received a single response from the on-call healthcare provider. I’m deeply saddened by this, especially for my mother, who was just discharged from the hospital earlier this week and is still waiting for answers.... read more

I was in the hospital and he became my doctor and within 15 minutes told me I needed a pacemaker and change my life. I feel fantastic ever since I got it.
