Poor bedside manner. The entire visit was 5 minutes. I came in for ambiguous ultrasound findings. He immediately told me I needed an endoscopy. I expressed my anxiety and hesitation about the procedure. He did not explain what he would be looking for, what the possible diagnoses are (other than cancer). In July 2022 I saw my PCP after a recent hospitalization at Mount Siani for suspected colitis. She recommended I get a colonoscopy and referred me to GI. I saw Dr Kung shortly after and explained that in addition to getting e coli I had also been having “runny” stool for almost a year. He very briefly assessed me and told me I do not need a colonoscopy just to take Pepto Bismol. This was my first visit to this GI doctor he had excellent bedside manner and very attentive to my needs and concerns to acid reflex..
