My wife took our 6 month old to Dr. Phillips for a second opinion regarding hip dysplasia. I joined by phone. Dr. Phillips entered the room saying "why are you hear for hip dysplasia at 6 months and not 6 weeks?" hit tone was rude. My wife tried to explain that we had been following with another Orthopedic surgeon in our area however wanted a second opinion. Dr Phillips is caring and explains things to both us as parents and to my daughter who is the patient. He asks if she has questions or understands. Takes time and doesn’t rush out of the room if we additional questions. I will always recommend this practice and especially Dr Phillips!

Horrible bedside manner and will more than likely say your child needs surgery! Please please please get a second opinion before you let him do surgery on your child! He told us "best case scenario" we would need a small surgery and we were able to treat my son with a N0N-INVASIVE procedure (Mehta Casting) at Shriners hospital, which I'm sure he knows about!!

My son has scoliosis and Dr. Phillips has been caring for him for the past 3 years. Yes sometimes there’s an extended wait but it’s a nice facility and the staff are always kind. Dr. Phillips always takes his time talking TO my son, not just to me or about his illness. He genuinely wants to know what he’s interested in, how he’s doing in school and even asks about friends. He is top notch and I have no fears about his impending surgery. He’s in great hands with Dr. Phillips.

We waited 11/2 hours to see the doctor. The fellow came in initially said everything looked fine. Doctor said we need to come back several times. As he walked in he told us he had a terrible cold and proceeded to hold and examine my 7 weeks old son. Not happy!

My daughter broke her femoral neck last year and Dr. Phillips got her into surgery within 3 hours of her arriving in the ER on the ambulance. Her rechecks have been great with minimal wait time. The staff is very nice and professional. Sometimes there is a little wait but that is the nature of orthopedics. When she broke her shoulder a year later I was right back to see Dr. Phillips and they got me in for an appointment right away! Never did I get the impression he was all about money!

We have had the worst experience with Dr. Phillips. Our child has club foot and there was next to no progress with the ponsetti casting process. He was always behind in his schedule and there was always over an hour wait just to get in a room, then an hour wait from there until he made his quick and impersonal stop in to see what was going on. He always seemed rushed and distracted. He is just about money and not the patients.

My husband and son waited over an hour before even being taken back to see the Dr. When he asked the staff how long it would be because my son had to get back to school he was just brushed off and told he would be taken back when they can. Obviously no respect for anyone else's time.
