Dr. Cohen is not without his good qualities, but my appendix burst between entering the ER the night before and surgery at 2 PM the next day. He did not prescribe any antibiotics upon my dismissal from the hospital, saying that nothing was that strong to me effective. In one week my incision point was infected and had to go on antibiotics that my GP prescribed for me. "I was skeptical at first because I’d had another surgeon who caused some problems including the umbilical hernia that Dr. Cohen repaired. After six weeks, my stomach looks back to normal finally! No hernia buldging out. Dr. Cohen did an amazing job. He answered all my questions and was very patient with me & my questions -especially the first few weeks when I was very worried. Dr. Cohen and his office staff are amazing! Dr. Cohen called me on a Friday after his office had closed to get me in for an appointment after a malignant tumor was found in my colon by my gastroenterologist. Dr. Cohen met with me and my family member and explained the surgery in great detail and took time to answer all of my questions. He was very informative, thorough, and kind. Review forthcoming as I spent 2 hours writing my experience only for a phone call to make it dissappear. But, DO NOT USE Dr. Cohen the NIGHTMARE surgeon we were given in the ER! UNBELIEVABLE, SCARY STORY TO COME, WHEN I GET TIME SOON, RECOVERING STILL! I have no idea how ANYBODY, but a young, healthy, person would give this person a positive review, after how he behaved during our hospital stay!
