Overpriced! The ambiance is comfortable AND classy, which is usually difficult to pull off. However, for the price the food was definitely not worth it. I ordered the salmon which came out overcooked (dry in the center). The one thing you need to keep in mind is that the whiskey menu features the price of half a drink. They display the price of one ounce while what they bring to you is two ounces and thus charge you twice the amount on the menu. Not only is that annoying, but the whiskey is extremely overpriced. I don't mind... read more

Best Dining in Lexington! – As a confessed foodie, I am proud to say that I have had the pleasure of dining at the very unique and elegant Jonathan At Gratz Park. With a changing seasonal menu, both the appetizers and entrees are always a pleasure. I have only been dissatisfied once and that's cuz I chose to try scallops (which I have NEVER enjoyed ANYWHERE but just tried it because of my great confidence in the chef there). People who love scallops loved the dish, however... My favorites are the Tomato Basil Soup, The carpa... read more

over-rated fine dining. – After hearing wonderful things about Jonathan's at Gratz Park, I decided to make reservations for my graduation dinner. Despite making reservations over six weeks in advance, we were crammed into a booth against the wall. The service was terrible. The food took far too long, the waitress overflowed a beer all over the table and our drinks were never refilled. Having chosen the restaurant after viewing their menu on their website, I was disappointed to see half of the things that were online weren't ... read more

Very average – The food here was very average. Flavors didn't balance and meld well, the fish I had was cooked in cornmeal, which gave it a deep-fried taste, and the other ingredients in the dish overpowered each other. The fried green tomato salad was bland. The cormeal they were fried in was too heavy and formed a hard shell that did not complement the tomatoes. Especially for the price, the quality was just average.

Amazing appetizers - so so main course – I recently dined at Jonathans for the first time. The dining room was comfortable but a bit shabby. Service was fine (nothing stood out as particularly good or bad about it). The meal started off very with fabulous appetizers (particularly the fried green tomato salad). However the main course was bland and boring (mushroom risotto). Dessert was also excellent (white chocolate mint gelato). All in all I was happy with my visit - but not blown away.

A romantic hideaway – Soft light, unobtrusive service, great food and wine, quiet but elegant surroundings. Fair price and innovative chef. Nice folks.
