I was in and out of the office in 20 minutes. The staff was very good, empathetic and professional. However, I would not say the same for Dr Hata. He spent less than 10 minutes telling me what can be done, never letting me speak, interrupted and I did not feel he any sense of compassion even when I mentioned that I had cancer before and his remark was ....oh, it could be that and then nothing. I guess he thought I was just there to get pain meds of which have not even picked up and do not want to use unless absolutely necess... read more
After extensive research, I found that Dr. Hata was the best choice to perform the surgery I needed. He did surgery to repair an inguinal hernia that I had for nearly 7 years. He is truly gifted and takes time to make sure you are informed and at ease. His staff is very friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend Dr. Hata if you need surgery. The experience was way better than I could have imagined.

A good surgeon. However, you HAVE to constantly call the office or speak to him personally to get paperwork signed and faxed to insurance companies. Had to go back to work a week early because my FMLA papers ( that he's had for almost 2 weeks) we're not filled out, signed, and faxed to my insurance company. And I was NOT about to loose my job because of it. Documentatio was not sent to my health insurance company providing proof that I had to stay and extra day in the hospital so now my insurance is NOT covering that day! No... read more
Dr. Hata and his nurse, Stephanie, were both very professional and caring towards my husband and I. Went in for consult prior to my gallbladder surgery, and Dr. Hata was very detailed and reassuring with my concerns. Both pre-op and post-op, I was followed up by either one of them and it really shows their compassion towards their patients. Dr. Hata followed up with me pre-op and ran through the whole procedure with me; Stephanie made sure I had no concerns and knew what to expect post-op.
