Dr. Taveau was great in the office, before my surgery. After surgery, I never saw him again. Even when I had complications with a clogged drain, extreme pain, a delayed back brace, and staying in the hospital for a week, after being told it would be 2-3 days. Then a few weeks after surgery, I developed extreme nerve pain and drop foot in my left foot. I never had issues with my left leg before surgery. I've never had a DR make feel as humiliated and ashamed of myself like Dr taveau did. He told me at one point he would see me but when my Dr tried to schedule me an appointment with him, he refused me because I have a high BMI and says to schedule an appointment with the weight loss clinic. Basically saying I'm not worth even seeing because I'm overweight.the worst care I have ever seen.
Thank goodness we have a physician like like Jon Taveau. My sister had a glio gr 4 removed in 2024 when Helene came thru our community. An urgent surgery a few days after being diagnosed in the JCMC ER after a fall in her yard. He go the full tumor that was located in the motor function area of the brain. She had some left side paralysis prior to surgery and no more after the surgery. She was lucky that no further paralysis came from the surgery. Initially, I left a 5 star review but after waiting 2 hours to be seen, I became frustrated that my time was perceived as not as valuable as the physicians. Then, I spent a week trying to speak with an RN re: postoperative complications & never received a call back. After seeing 3 other physicians to obtain postoperative care, I was told the Neurosurgeon had to address the issues.
