Dr. Meckel has been my primary care doctor for years, and I feel very lucky to have him! When I first became a patient, I was fortunate enough to get a new patient appointment fairly quickly, but I definitely got lucky. You are lucky to get an appointment. We were REALLY hoping to be a new patient with Dr Meckel, as many of our friends have recommended him. Unfortunately, he was not taking new patients today (June5, 2026) My husband is 80 years old and cannot wait almost 2 years for a new patient appointment woth a Montage primary care doctor. We were SHOCKED that was the first appointment (November 30 2027!!!) That was for ANY PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR within the Montage group,, not Dr. Meckel's office. Dr. Meckel is a good doctor but it is very difficult getting any response through the message system on MyChart and always have to schedule appointments several months in advance. Currently still waiting on a response to an appointment request made about 2 weeks ago and even tried reaching out by messaging directly about a week ago with no response regarding a medical concern that's moderately urgent but not urgent enough to warrant going to the ER.
