Jon L. Coogle is the attorney to see in town! He’s busy working with the residents of Oglethorpe and Macon County, and he is also the city and county attorney. His wife, Karen, works in the office along with Brandy Williams, and they make sure you’re taken care of. Jon’s office is located in one of our historic downtown buildings. In fact, his building has been several things including Taylor’s Pharmacy and our county’s courthouse many years before that. This building’s history includes the infamous murder of Col. Fish on the steps coming outside of the upstairs level. They have some interesting historic items in the office too, including the 1870s French desk pictured from the governor’s mansion back when it was located in Milledgeville.
