Bad office
If I could give a minus review that is what I would give this doctor. I was a patient at Banner Desert Mesa after having had a stroke. He did a TEE procedure on me. I have a copy of his dictation and he lied on two accounts. He stated that I was fully sedated when I was wide awake. He then stated that he did the procedure without difficulty and that is the biggest lie. He made FIVE attempts to pass the scope and on the 5th pass he finally succeeded and looked over at his assitant and stated "damn am I good"!!! My wife spoke ... read more
Another doctor whom I never saw before came in the room . It seems I was switched without my knowledge or approval. He spent 5 min with me and said to make an appointment with Stevenson in one year! I stopped at the desk an complained.Dr Stevenson wasnt even there!!! I had the appointment for 6 months. No one called me about this before I got there They gave me another appointment with Stevenson for the next week. I saw Stevenson after waiting 2 hours. I was there for an angiogram. He was going to use my wrist but didn’t like it, so he went in through the groin. I had nothing to numb the area and was in severe pain. I couldn’t get anyones attention to tell them. It was loud, then he asked them to turn up the music. The OR staff was just talking like nobody was on the table. He yelled “Boom” twice while he was fishing in my groin. I can’t believe the amount of pain I was in. Very good doctor who explains things well. Thorough with all tests and results. Very kind, too.
Unfortunately, Dr. Stevenson was running nearly two hours behind on his appointments. My husband had bypass surgery and was being seen for a follow-up but was tired after waiting for an hour and we left without seeing the doctor. I, too, started using this doctor and thought I'd recommend him to several friends but plan to find another doctor. On my first visit I was not taken in on time and waited over an hour. Should have taken this as a sign and left, too.
Always have to wait 30 mins to over an hour. Very poor scheduling and planning
