Great doctor, some poor communication and failed to verify benefits though. Ended up with a $300 bill for what was supposed to be a $30 Copay
Nevermind. Scam artists. Quoted my benefits as a $30 copay then tried to bill me an additional $300 for a 15 minute consult with no testing whatsoever. I can find a honest Doctor's office. Dr. Cook was great but their staff can kindly sit and spin.
Dr. Cook was incredibly helpful and took a lot of time with me to ensure I was making the best choices for my health issues going forward. They were succinct, respectful, informative, and firm on important matters. They and their staff went out of their way to help me despite me coming in unprepared. I showed up early and got seen even before my appointment time, which has NEVER happened in a doctor's office ever. Likely my go-to PCP until I move. I had an appointment this past Tuesday. Upon arriving, the receptionist couldn’t find my appointment and proceeded to lie about me not filling out the paperwork online. Her rude and unfriendly demeanor was evident throughout the interaction. She spoke both Spanish and English. Apparently, since I hadn’t input my driver’s license and insurance information, she didn’t check me in and suggested I reschedule. I am so pissed, I drove over an hour for my physical to see Dr Jon Cook, appointment is for 10am, I left my house at 8.45am so I can be early but there was a bit of traffic made me arrive 10.06am only to be told I will not be seen. I am a breastfeeding mother with a newborn baby at home, stayed up till this time fasting, pleaded with the front desk lady and she says whoever she sent a message to denied and says I should reschedule.
