Had knee replacement Wednesday April 9, quit using walker Sunday! My knee pain after surgery is nothing compared to what it was. Dr Banwart is a very kind, knowledgeable Dr and spoke to me with kindness and in language I understood. I will take bandage off in 5 more days. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Banwart in Galena!

Dr Banwart is much better at knee replacements than diagnosing post operative hip replacement problems. He always says your hip pain is coming from your back ( even if a MRI shows two torn muscles in your hip). That same hip came loose once before and he said that pain was coming from my back. Upon getting a second opinion I found out it was actually loose and had to have it re-done after dealing with that pain for a year!
