Dr. Boyum performed my lung lobectomy to remove a carcinoid tumor. When we first met with him, he gave us clear answers of what to expect with the removal of the lower lung, answering our questions and giving us confidence that it was the right path of treatment. The day of the procedure, he went over everything again and kept my fiance in the loop of what was going on. I've been a patient of Dr. Boyum and always received excellent care and advice.
Dr.Boyum did robotic surgery on me in Aug 2018 to remove part of my left lung. Due to the use of the robot, I was discharged less then 24hrs after surgery. Yes I had a chest tube, removed before discharge. Not everyone can be discharged this quickly but the patient /Doctor relationship we have made this happen. Follow the Doctors orders,listen and ask questions. I highly recommend Dr.Boyum.
