Dr.Jolly was our first Pediatrician moving home to San Diego from LA and she was just starting Kindergarten and 5 years old. I’ve read some of the other comments and it makes me laugh that someone touching your kneecap and assuring you it will be alright can be considered inappropriate. Personally I’m much more worried about my kid to waste token but to each their own. Doctor Jolly only needs 20 mins because he know his stuff!!! I met Dr. Jolly for the first time during the latest care visit for our teen son at Scripps Clinic Carmel Valley. In a midst of me asking questions about my son's bloodwork, Dr. Jolly rolled in his chair across the room towards me, put his hand on my knee, looked into my eyes and said, “Don’t worry, Mom, he is in great hands.” Then he patted my knee again, rolled back and continue typing away on the computer as if this was normal. Dr. Jolly is a phenomenal doctor with the best sense of humor! Our sons and I are beyond blessed to have finally found him. Dr. Desmond, was able to squeeze my daughter in when her regular pediatrician was unavailable. He was extremely thorough and caring. He gave me full confidence in clearing our daughter to return to sports. He also shared what we have ruled out and what we should keep an eye on. I highly highly recommend Dr. Desmond. His bedside manner was excellent my daughter was also happy with the visit.
I’ll keep this short… he saw my son for ear pain, and my son was not acting himself due to exhaustion and pain. Dr. Jolly saw this behavior as something to be concerned about, and ended our appointment telling me that he wouldn’t be surprised if he’s on the spectrum for autism. 20 minutes… that’s all it took to tell a new family that their son should be evaluated for autism . He isn't my daughter's normal pediatrician, but I was impressed with his knowledge & his clarity. He explained everything thoroughly & was very kind. Almost made me want to switch Primary Care Physicians.
Dr.jolly is the only doctor I trust with my kids,he cares about hi s patients and is very good with my kids .
YES TO DR. JOLLY !!! best doctor ive watched work in 45 years.,,.....took care of our two boys diligently, from birth..... now 8 and 6 years old .........really a detailed doctor...and thorough.....knows more than most doctors out there,...very well educated...,,,,he's great as a general MD, also at "proper diagnosis" of babies + infants...., internal medicine...., general overall health of babies, infants, toddlers, etc.....I'd recommend to everyone.
