Dr J has been our PCP for over 25 years. You can often get a same day appointment and I have never waited for more than 10 minutes at his office. (He often works alone so you may have to wait for a same day call back.) He spends time with his patients and never rushes through your visit. I have referred several friends who appreciate his calm manner.
A horrible man. Was rude, angry and extremely insensitive.
Dr Jolin has been our family doctor for 10 years. He is extremely thorough, professional, prompt and caring. Always takes the time to ask questions, probe and order tests where needed. Dr Jolin is quickly available if issues need attention. Never rushes through appointments or makes us feel like numbers. Extremely unprofessional. Very political in his discussions. Appears to be struggling personally and professionally. Beware.
This doctor has no staff. Just him. He checked me in and asked what I was seeing him for. I had to switch pcp’s due to an insurance change. I told him for my panic disorder and anxiety. He literally told me there are bigger issues in the world right now. I changed my pcp the next day.
terrible. I had a referral from a UCSF specialist simply to refer someone to give injections per his diagnosis. Dr. Jolin wouldnt't accept the dx and wanted to start over. when I explained this was done and I just needed the referral he said "you don't have to attack me" when I was just standing up for my rights. I cannnot recommend him. His personality has issues
Dr. Jolin is a good MD. It's fairly easy to get an appointment. for the most part he listens to the patient's concerns. But people should know he is very much a "no pills" kind of Dr., meaning he is hesitant to prescribe certain things, and thinks some conditions can be controlled without medication. Like for example high blood pressure could be controlled with diet and exercise. Or painful procedures one should just "fight through" the pain.
