I have an EPA 608 certification and I called Johnstone to get a quote on a heat pump system. They refused to give me a quote unless I have a C-20 license. They won't even sell to general contractors. The whole point of getting A universal 608 is so you can purchase equipment to do repairs.

I bought a thermostat from them. A friend installed it and I just needed help reprogramming it. My friend who installed it took about one minute to program it but he has moved away. There are no directions and when I called this company where I bought it they were rude and condescending. I am 73 years old and the guy who was in the parts department said I would need a technician (about 100+ dollars) I am a senior and need 2 minutes of help to do something he said was simple and just go on line to learn how.
