A Job well done – I have been using Johnston's for ten years and I have had great service for all those years. I had a chimney fire and he did a video which help me with the insurance company. Johnston's has been honest and the work has always been outstanding. He has never lied or tried to take advantage of me and his pricing has always been competitive.

Deceitful Business Practices – This company is out to get as much money from you as they can regardless of whether it's true or not. I called for an estimate to have my chimney relined. They mailed me an estimate and I thought the material cost was high (because I had already done my research). So I looked up the same brand that they were charging for and found if I ordered it myself, I could save almost $600.00. Well that's almost 1/2 of what they were quoting for the material. Find any other sweep or you'll be sorry. – They use the classic scheme of offering sale prices for the cleaning then use the opportunity in you home to conduct overly complicated inspections. They describe it using industry jargon to exagerate what is there. This is all to scare you into purchasing expensive rework. My chimney is well kept and as good as the day it was build. Stay away!
