My ELDERLY father went into the office on Martin Ave to purchase tenant insurance before moving into The Charles on Nov 1/25. This was on October 24/25. He paid in full. Then, he gets a bill saying he still owes the entire amount. So he calls and the gentleman looks it up and confirmed that he did pay in full. NOW today he has received a letter from the insurance company saying that if he doesn’t pay (the full amount which he’s already paid) they will cancel his insurance. I had a correction in brackets with an initial beside it. The woman at the counter could have used common sense and realized that every other signature and initial matched the correction. Instead she decided to call icbc and get them to say no and I had to go print it all out again and get my ex wife to sign it again which was already a very stressful and uncomfortable situation to begin with.
