Be aware, this is now a different practice. I received a text this morning to confirm my appointment with "Legacy Dental on Alafaya". I was very confused until I did a little research and saw other's reviews. It is extremely disappointing and unprofessional, not to mention absolutely rude to not let patients know the practice was being sold. I like and respected Dr. Johnson and his dental hygienist, Lynn. They were personable and Lynn was always very accommodating and gentle. However, I DO NOT respect the way they retired their practice.. I showed up for my appointment to realize that this is a new office with a new owner. The new receptionist said that Dr Johnson sent an emai, but I didn’t see it and another person sitting in the waiting room said that he was blindsided as well. Had my first appointment here and it was great. They really took their time to listen and I didn’t feel pressured at all or like they were “drill happy” if you will. I think it’s really difficult to find a good honest dentist and so far I’m very pleased. Bonus: let our sweet 2 year old watch mama’s appointment so she would be more comfortable at her future upcoming ped dentist appointment. I will be back to update.
This review is for the new people who took over from Dr.'s Johnson. If you are a former patient of Dr.'s Johnson just go ahead and cancel your appointment. The new people have no respect for your time or money. I am so disappointed that after all this time I have to hunt down a respectful dentist. My wife has been a patient with Johnson Family Dentistry for 50 years. No one from his staff is there. I wish I could find them and see who they recommend because this practice is NOT it.
