Our small community lending company was billed several thousand for "research" of a simple matter. IMO, an experienced lawyer should not bill $500 per hour for multiple hours "analyzing" a simple renewal agreement. (Google it). Just let the client know that you don't understand the matter at hand. I feel scammed. I couldn't sleep at night if I did a client like this.
