Edit 03/06/3026: USFHP responded below. So, I called yet again and filed a complaint with the complaint department. I heard back from them and had what seems like a very positive discussion. Now waiting, yet again, for something positive to happen. I'll update this review if and when something does occur. Until then it's more of the same. Johns Hopkins USFHP scams service members with glossy ads and newsletters then denies claims. They are sneaky about it! First, they "lost" my physician's paperwork twice. Then, somehow the fax machine at Utilization Management worked but they denied the single case agreement. Then, I appealed and three days before the deadline for them to act on my appeal (and likely have to report this to DoD) they approved the single case agreement... And voided my appeal. Do not select this plan. Stay on Tricare. You can only use Walgreens. Which is often crowded and out of everything for weeks and never can get a person on the phone. The doctors at Hopkins either aren't taking new patients or leave about as soon as you start seeing one. The my chart app has wrong phone numbers, the website for Hopkins too. Just poor poor care and I felt we were treated badly for having it. Garbage insurance.
I used the website to find a closer PCP. When, I frist signed up for the insurance, I was given one 2 and half hours away from me.
In my experience, this is an absolutely terrible health plan. I use this plan as little as possible, and find the VA to be much more responsive, despite their current challenges.
