Extremely disappointed with the prescription medicine aspect of this plan! Not only can members ONLY use Walgreens, but prescription medicine costs under Tricare programs such as JHUSFHP can be cheaper through Amazon without using any insurance. If you are already on the USFHP plan and an Amazon Prime member, consider pricing your prescription medicine through Amazon.
Insurance is lying about coverage. We are trying to get my mother out of rehab facility and they are refusing care. They are lying that they are trying to help her. Mother is gravely ill and they will not authorize transport home. Shame on Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan how they treat veterans! Mother refused water, food, and care by facility and died! Edit 04/24/2026: Received yet ANOTHER denial after contacting their complaint department as suggested below in my original review. Read how awful and usually incomprehensible their "logic" is and see if it makes any sense at all: "To ensure a proper review of your concerns, we submitted your complaint to our leadership team for a through review. Mot people write reviews when they have negative experiences, so I'm going to give a positive one. Early last year I had a terrible medical crisis and had to be admitted to the hospital. Since then I've had MULTIPLE visits to the ER, doctors, and specialists who have been trying to figure out what's going on with me. Edit 03/06/3026: USFHP responded below. So, I called yet again and filed a complaint with the complaint department. I heard back from them and had what seems like a very positive discussion. Now waiting, yet again, for something positive to happen. I'll update this review if and when something does occur. Until then it's more of the same. Johns Hopkins USFHP scams service members with glossy ads and newsletters then denies claims. They are sneaky about it! First, they "lost" my physician's paperwork twice.
