Dr. Balmuri doesn’t seem to know what is the appropriate dose of methotrexate for my son she prescribed a high dose for him and she prescribed naproxen to be taken at the same time as he is on methotrexate and that would increase methotrexate toxicity!!!
Dr Balmuri was wonderful to work with for my daughter's condition. She was the first physician to treat it her condition with urgency and want to find answers. She is very responsive and continuously follows-up. I cannot recommend her enough.
Dr. Shalen was quick to dismiss my son and refused to order any follow up testing despite his abnormal labs that clearly show some type of autoimmune condition going on. We left our appointment with ZERO answers, ZERO plan, and ZERO hope. We are now seeking a more experienced, knowledgeable and professional Rheumatologist who actually cares about sick children.
Johns Hopkins Pediatric Rheumatology has a 3 star rating with 4 reviews.
