Questionable Billing Practices: My visit itself was fine, but the problems began as soon as I received the bill. I used the Johns Hopkins patient portal to get an estimate titled “Estimate for Screening Mammogram Visit at Johns Hopkins Medical Imaging.” The estimate listed a single procedure code. However, Johns Hopkins submitted two procedure codes to my insurance company, and the charges were about 80% higher than the estimate. Depending on the circumstances, needing to coming in for imaging can be anxiety provoking. Everyone (the front desk staff, the techs and nurses, the sonographer and the radiologist) was patient, wonderful and kind. Someone mentioned a long wait time. Yes, there may be a wait BUT I deeply believe that it was because everyone I interacted with was being thorough and treating my case with the attention it deserved. Drove 45 minutes to office and arrived 20 minutes before appt as told and waited over an hour to be seen. It stated on board in office that mammograms were on time. The staff was very patronizing and told me I could reschedule, there was nothing they could do. Then blamed me that my doctor did not send all the paperwork. What paperwork?? They had my order and I brought all my discs/images. I waited over a month to get this appt! My OBGYN referred me to this place however I will not be back. Had An mri here last night and encountered with very friendly and helpful staff! Made me feel at ease and made it A breeze experience for me . Which I appreciated very much . Easy to rate 5 stars
I have never had a facility that takes so long. Two, give you results from an mri. I have had at least 10 mri and by far, this is the slowest place I have been to. All the doctors and nurses were great. Whoever reads all your images.It needs a new job
