If you get sick after 5pm or on the weekends, you will get a nurse who does not work for JH and has no access to your chart. All she/he can do is tell you to go to the ED. With emergency rooms so packed this is a dangerous practice and one I will no longer be a part of. It is no wonder that Hopkins is dropping in the rankings every year.

I have Medicare insurance. If you go there on Medicare, it is a NIGHTMARE. They are unethical and bill you for a type of visit you DID NOT REQUEST OR SCHEDULE. The Dr I 'saw' on a televisit was terrible. This place is So Disorganized and so layered with departments you get routed and routed and routed to when you question your bill, all meant to TORTURE you, their customer. Only go if you desire to be miserable as they will deliver that service.

I advise to avoid this practice. The one Dr I had a televisit with could not find my medical records (that I'd provided the office many days before my appointment) during my televisit. Later when I complained she didn't have them in my file during my first consultation she denied this to the office manager essentially making me out to be a liar.
