The food was terrible. The quality has definitely gone down.
We were starving. Stopped here. Plenty of room. Greeted super nice and sat quickly. Waitress personable. The food...meh. His hamburger wasnt hot...dry like sat there a while. Ok. The Heinz ketchup on table was NOT Heinz. We grew up in Muscatine,Ia where a big plant is. My husband raised on the stuff. What he only eats on burgers or anything. Stopped at Johnny’s Tavern at our Kansas City day trip and we’re pleasantly surprised. The pretzel was phenomenal as an appetizer. We also got the fish and chip entrée which was great and the wings were spectacular. The overall vibe was great for a sports bar. Lots of TVs everywhere. The restaurant, bathrooms and floors could have been a little cleaner.
Tried one more time and they of course forgot espinaca $2.50 that I got specifically with pub chips to eat together and Uber Eats offered me $2.00 refund (less than I paid for the espinaca!). Shameful service because Johnnys to go order quality is garbage. No one cares. Sad. —- My wife and I used to go to Johnnys 1-2 times a month for dinner and some drinks. We loved the bar staff.
